ABOUT US On Memorial Day – May 26, 2006 – a group of veteran business owners met to explore the possibility of forming an association of veteran entrepreneurs to help grow and expand veteran owned businesses. After a few developmental meetings, the Veterans Business Association was founded as a non-profit association with the mission of growing members businesses, promoting the interests of veteran business owners, and becoming the voice of veteran owned businesses in a competitive community. Veteran Business Association is a network of veteran owned businesses. We build “Partnerships for Success” and promote greater economic participation in business at the local, state, and federal levels. Membership is comprised of veteran business owners, individual veterans, retirees, and their families interested in starting their own businesses, and associate members who support our mission. To pursue our mission, VBA establishes programs and services that address business development, access to capital, advocacy, and acts as a clearing house for referrals and information for Veteran issues and community issues. VBA assists Veterans Owned in procurement programs available in the private and public sectors. The Veterans Business Association celebrated our 1st Annual “Partnerships for Success” Dinner on December 7, 2006 and we are on a continuing quest to build alliances with other organizations to improve opportunities for our members as we accelerate our participation in both the public and private sector procurement arena. The key to success lies in the strength that unity brings! Vets Helping Vets - Building Partnerships for Success
